About Durban Poison
With a menacing name that hints at its powerful psychoactivity, Durban Poison strain is a pure South African sativa landrace. It is a bold and sticky variety that’s well adapted to a variety of growing conditions. Durban Poison boasts a THC content of between 15% and 25%.
Cannabis has been cultivated on the African continent since at least the 14th century; by the era of Dutch colonization, it had spread south and the Khoikhoi, San, and Bantu groups indigenous to South Africa had an established cultivation and cultural acceptance of the drug, which they called dagga.
In the late 1970s, American breeder Ed Rosenthal selectively bred several plants from a bag of South African seeds that he brought back to the U.S. Rosenthal then passed some prime specimens on to fellow breeder Mel Frank, who fine-tuned the genetics to optimize resin content and flowering time. Frank’s efforts resulted in “A” and “B” lines of the original seed stock; the B line was given to Amsterdam breeder Sam the Skunkman, who further reduced the strain’s flowering time.
Buds of Durban Poison strain are medium to large in size. Although they have a dense, compact structure typical of indica varieties, their long and tapered shape is more characteristic of sativas. The forest green leaves are offset by bright orange pistils, meant to catch pollen from male fertilizing plants. A coating of milky-white trichomes gives the cured flowers a light sheen and an incredibly sticky texture. Durban Poison strain has a classically dank smell punctuated by hints of sweet licorice. The flowers are pungent and skunky when broken open or burnt and give off a thick, lung-expanding smoke. The licorice aroma is evident on the exhale, along with the taste of sweet, almost cloying pine sap.
Durban Poison strain has deep roots in the Sativa landrace gene pool. The strain’s historic phenotypes were first noticed in the late 1970s by one of America’s first International strain hunters, Ed Rosenthal. According to cultivation legend, Rosenthal was in South Africa in search of new genetics and ran across a fast flowering strain in the port city of Durban. After arriving home in the U.S., Rosenthal conducted his own selective breeding process on his recently imported seeds, then begin sharing. Rosenthal gave Mel Frank some of his new South African seeds, and the rest was cannabis history.
Frank, who wrote the “Marijuana Grower’s Guide Deluxe" in 1978, modified the gene pool to increase resin content and decrease the flowering time. In search of a short-season varietal that could hit full maturation on the U.S. East Coast, Frank’s crossbreeding efforts resulted in two distinct phenotypes, the “A” line and “B” line. The plant from Frank’s “A” line became today’s Durban Poison strain, while the “B” line was handed off to Amsterdam breeder David Watson, also known as “Sam the Skunkman.”
Durban Poison strain has a dense, compact bud structure that’s typical of landrace Indica varieties, but the flowers’ elongated and conical shape is more characteristic of a Sativa.

GSC Strain: Grow information
GSC, which was originally known as the Girl Scout Cookies strain, was first bred by Northern California's Cookie Family sometime about 2012. A Sativa-leaning hybrid cross between a cutting of OG Kush and the breeder’s own F1 Durban Poison strain, GSC produces a plant with multiple branches and a powerful flower.
The strain has a short stature that is common on strains with Indica lineage and is known for its tight internodal structure, which creates its iconic spear-shaped flowers with lavender calyxes. The most popular phenotype produced by the first batch of GSC seeds was Thin Mints.

Instead, the cerebral high mixes with a calming body high for a relaxing experience. Mild paranoia and anxiety have also been reported. Users may experience dry mouth and eyes as well as headaches from using the strain.
Sufferers of disorders such as General Anxiety Disorder or PTSD use this strain to find relief from stress and anxiety. Those dealing with depression use it to lift their mood. The body high can also relieve chronic aches and pains.
Acapulco Gold comes from Acapulco, Mexico, but the exact genetics of the strain are unknown. Traditionally, this strain was grown outdoors. When grown indoors, the strain flowers for 70-75 days. Outdoors, plants are ready for harvest by mid-October. There have been reports of yields up to 500 grams per square meter. Tests have shown that Acapulco Gold plants can have as much as 23% THC.
ACAPULCO GOLD Strain: A TRUE CLASSIC
Acapulco Gold is a sativa dominant strain that features 70 percent sativa genetics and 30 percent indica genetics. The name of this strain does a fantastic job at describing the jewel-like appearance of the flowers it produces, encrusted and sparkling with trichomes that produce the cannabinoid rich resin. The sativa leaning nature of this strain makes it a great choice for daytime use, keeping users alert instead of too relaxed.
When smoking a large blunt or bong bowl loaded with the processed flowers of Acapulco Gold, smokers can expect a pleasant taste to stimulate their taste buds. Contrasting yet complimenting tastes of sweetness and spice are particularly identifiable. The scent given off by this strain is also highly pleasant. When opening up a stash jar housing this strain, aromas will be released that can be described as musky, earthy, sweet, and woody.
The high generated from smoking or vaping Acapulco Gold has both body and head elements to it. Being a sativa dominant strain, the head high is definitely more noticeable and powerful. These cerebral effects uplift, energise, and exhilarate the smoker. It's even reported that this buzz may have some aphrodisiac properties. These traits make Acapulco Gold an ideal strain to smoke throughout the day and may offer some smokers a motivational mindset to keep them alert and productive. The body high aspects of the strain introduce a calming and relaxing sensation, balancing out the stimulating elements of the powerful high. The traits of this high also offer benefits to some medical patients. The strain may be effective at easing stress, relieving pain, increasing appetite, and reducing fatigue.

This strain is clearly from Acapulco, Mexico, but its genetics as well as proper cultivation techniques remain to be uncovered. Like its name suggests, Acapulco Gold is a rare find and fans of this strain consider themselves lucky when they do come across it. A nicely cultivated batch will look like golden nuggets as its flowers are deep yellows and browns, with a light dusting of crystal trichomes that lighten up its tones.
While its exact genetics remain a mystery, Acapulco Gold strain is a popular and historically significant sativa-leaning hybrid that thrives in outdoor grow environments and is indigenous to Acapulco, Mexico. As indoor cultivation becomes the go-to method for many growers, the original Acapulco Gold cultivar is considered to be a bit of a rarity within modern-day cannabis cultivation circles.
Known to produce an energetic and cerebral high, a true Acapulco Gold plant is distinguishable by its sativa growth traits, yielding chunky colas that range from dark green to golden brown in color. Carrying an aroma that has been described as burnt toffee, Acapulco Gold is reported to produce an earthy, pungent taste upon consumption.
Although the strain is best suited for outdoor growing conditions, cultivators should have less difficulty with the newer generation of Acapulco Gold seeds. Jack Herer Strain, also known as "Jack Herer weed," "The Jack," "Premium Jack," and "Platinum Jack" is a sativa-dominant marijuana strain that has gained as much renown as its namesake, the marijuana activist and author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes. Combining a Haze hybrid with a Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk cross, Sensi Seeds created Jack Herer strain hoping to capture both cerebral elevation and heavy resin production. Its rich genetic background gives rise to several different variations of Jack Herer strain, each phenotype bearing its own unique features and effects. However, consumers typically describe this 55% sativa hybrid as blissful, clear-headed, and creative.
Jack Herer Weed was created in the Netherlands in the mid-1990s, where it was later distributed by Dutch pharmacies as a recognized medical-grade strain. Since then, this spicy, pine-scented strain has taken home numerous awards for its quality and potency. Many breeders have attempted to cultivate this staple strain themselves in sunny or Mediterranean climates, and indoor growers should wait 50 to 70 days for Jack Herer weed to flower.
Named after the late, legendary cannabis activist and author of the 1985 book “The Emperor Wears No Clothes,” Jack Herer has achieved a lofty, heavily proliferated status among modern cannabis strains. Its flavor is reportedly a composite of citrus, pine, wood and spice. This creation from Dutch seed bank Sensi Seeds won 9 first-place High Times Cannabis Cup awards, and is a frequently used parent strain for new hybrids. Its lineage remains unconfirmed, but it’s generally thought to be a complex hybrid of Northern Lights #5, Shiva Skunk and Haze.
About Jack Herer Strain
Jack Herer strain is a strain named after a lifelong cannabis activist whose 1985 book The Emperor Wears No Clothes continues to be an influential resource in the fight for cannabis decriminalization and legalization. A sativa-dominant hybrid developed by Sensi Seeds in the 1980s or 90s, it is a tasty and perennially popular strain. Jack Herer weed has passed its genetics and part of its name on to crossbred strains like Jack the Ripper, Jack’s Cleaner, and Jack Skellington.
Although the exact genetic formula is a guarded secret, Jack Herer strain is thought to be the product of sativa staple Haze and a cross of Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk. Sticky buds have an appealing orange-lemon scent and taste with just a hint of some dank pine. The high provides an excellent balance between cerebral and physical effects, leaving users deeply relaxed but attentive and conversant. Jack Herer strain appealing flavor and well-rounded effects has made it hugely popular with medical and recreational cannabis users alike; it has won nine Cannabis Cup titles. Cannabis lab Analytical 360 has measured Jack Herer flowers as having between 15% and 24% THC.
Jack Herer flowers are not particularly visually impressive: pale to medium green leaves form in densely-packed buds that are more elongated that rounded. The trichome count is high, making this a very sticky plant to handle. What Jack Herer strain lacks in visual appeal, though, it makes up for in scent. Cured properly, the flowers have a deep floral bouquet with hints of orange and lemon zest. Breaking open the dense buds shows off more of the citrus scent along with a peppery kick. When burnt, the flowers give off a surprisingly clean and herbal scent, similar to sage. The very smooth and easy smoke tastes similarly herbal. Although not overwhelmingly pungent, Jack Herer strain leaves behind a lingering spicy-floral odor giving the general impression of potpourri.
Effects of Jack Herer weed
This Jack Herer strain acts quickly — users are hit with a strong headrush that is noticeably more energizing than disorienting. As time progresses, or greater doses are consumed, this initial tingle spreads down the neck and through the limbs, creating a sense of relaxation without immobilizing. What follows is an alert and easily suggestible high marked by creativity. This is a particularly good strain for creative brainstorming and visualization. The sense of ease and creativity also makes Jack Herer weed great for facilitating conversation in social settings. Because it provides dual relaxation and buzz for the mind and body, Jack Herer weed typically leaves users feeling stimulated but in full lucid control of their actions. This mellow high is good for treating low-grade stress, anxiety, and depression. Users have also described relief from migraines. Although not high in CBD, Jack Herer weed can also be beneficial for chronic aches and pains. It is not recommended for those suffering from insomnia, as the stimulation of thought and mood can keep users awake. More of a daytime treat than an evening medication, Jack Herer strain could be considered an ideal “wake and bake” strain.
THC Content of Jack Herer Seeds
Seeds of Jack Herer are available from the strain’s creator Sensi seeds; alternatively, prospective growers can obtain mature clippings from healthy plants in order to grow clones. Sensi seeds describes four distinct phenotypes of Jack Herer seeds: two that lean indica and two that are predominantly sativa. Outdoor growers should plant in Mediterranean-like climates that maintain daily temperatures between 72 and 80℉. Plants can reach heights of 8 feet in certain conditions, so indoor growers should be sure to curb the height of Jack Herer strain by topping and by flowering soon after the plants take root. Jack Herer weed typically has a lower than average yield. It flowers within a comparatively long 10 weeks when grown indoors and is ready for harvest in mid to late October.
Jack Herer’s well-rounded high makes it a great strain for cannabis newcomers. It’s uniquely social in its ability to facilitate conversation while allowing users to maintain a semblance of awareness. The rich, floral scent is bound to attract attention — which may alternately be a conversation starter or a way to attract undue attention. Jack Herer is also a solid option for solo consumption, as it allows for creative thinking and a soaring sense of euphoria.

Sour Diesel Strain, also known as "Sour Diesel weed" and "Diesel Strain," is a popular sativa marijuana strain made by crossing Chemdawg and Super Skunk. Sour Diesel Strain effects are dreamy, cerebral, fast-acting and energizing. This strain features a pungent flavor profile that smells like diesel. Medical marijuana patients choose Sour Diesel Strain to help relieve symptoms associated with depression, pain, and stress. Growers say this Diesel strain grows best in a dry, outdoor climate and has a flowering time of 77 days. Fun fact: Sour Diesel Strain first became popular in the early 1990s and has been legendary ever since.
Also known as Sour Diesel weed and East Coast Sour Diesel (or ECSD,) Sour Diesel weed is a prolific strain with somewhat tumultuous origins. According to online sources, Sour Diesel weed gained prominence in New York in the mid-90s when breeder AJ (short for A**hole Joe,) accidentally pollinated a Chemdog 91 female with pollen from a Super Skunk he acquired during a trip to Amsterdam. The end result, Sour Diesel weed, was reportedly named for the way it soured business relationships as it spread through New York’s underground cannabis market, causing rifts as it changed hands among growers.
About Sour Diesel Strain
Sour Diesel strain will give you a terrific blast, a smash-in-the-face of Chemdawg and a Sativa we haven’t identified yet. We don’t even know who bred it originally – most people call them “A.J.” or “Asshole Joe.” It not only comes packed with 26% THC on the high end but also retains 2% CBD and 4% CBN during extraction, which is pretty unheard of. These added chemical compounds don’t alter the base effects of Sour Diesel strain, but they provide varied intensity that you can’t really calculate (or control). For a feeling of ultimate happy heaviness, Sour Diesel strain (also called “Sour Deez'' and “Sour D” for short) brings a nearly pure 90% Sativa to bear on your restless mind. You won’t stand a chance.
Sour Diesel weed lineage contains a little mystery. Researchers suspect that it was created accidentally from strains in the Chemdawg and OG Kush line. Particularly, Chemdawg 91 is suspected as a likely parent, along with possible candidates like DNL and Massachusetts Super Skunk. Either way, the plant grows lanky, throwing up a ton of foxtails around its dense, light green nugs, and releasing pungent odors into your indoor garden, like little skunk-citrus flower bombs.
Speaking of aromas, Sour Diesel weed continues to earn its name as you smoke it. A pungent cloud of skunky haze (like Diesel Gas but after eating an entire fruit orchard), explodes from this bud in a dense, lemony fog. The odor is sour, pungent, and strong. The taste is earthy, herbal, gassy, and with an unmistakable aftereffect of lemon on your tongue.
Sour Diesel weed Effects
The effects begin as a surge of cerebral energy, which promotes creativity and a feeling of get-up-and-go. Sour Diesel weed is a great wake-and-bake strain to get your day started, especially if you’re a remote worker that wants some mental stimulation without worrying about how skunky-delicious you smell. The strain is invigorating and that gives it its main medicinal uses.
THC Content of Diesel Strain
For those suffering from anxiety and depression, Diesel strain can help through sheer mental energy. The stimulation and brain-electrifying feelings would get anyone up and move (the 26% THC high doesn’t hurt either). Consumers report it helps in fighting fatigue and gets the appetite moving again.
Diesel strain is heavy, gassy, pungent, sour, skunky, and above all, awesomely day-enhancing. For mornings when you don’t know how you’re supposed to get started, this is your wake-up call of non-deadly lemon gas down in the trenches of your tiredness. Get up! Go!

| White Widows Strain - White Widow Weed [ White Widow Marijuana ]
White Widow strain is a balanced hybrid strain of Cannabis indica and Cannabis sativa that was created and developed by Shantibaba whilst he worked at the Greenhouse Seed Company. White Widow strain has been described as "among the most popular [strains] in the world" by Popular Science magazine.
Among the most famous strains worldwide is White Widow, a balanced hybrid first bred in the Netherlands by Green House Seeds. A cross between a Brazilian sativa landrace and a resin-heavy South Indian indica, White Widow weed has blessed every Dutch coffee shop menu since its birth in the 1990s. Its buds are white with crystal resin, warning you of the potent effects to come. A powerful burst of euphoria and energy breaks through immediately, stimulating both conversation and creativity. White Widow strain genetics have given rise to many other legends like White Russian, White Rhino, and Blue Widow. Still, many growers prefer cultivation of the original White Widow weed, which flowers in about 60 days indoors.
About White Widow Strain
Legendary for its off-the-charts resin production, White Widow is a staple sativa-dominant hybrid with powerful energizing effects. It was produced by Dutch veterans Green House Seeds in the 1990s as a cross between Brazilian indica and South Indian sativa landraces. At the time, the underground cannabis market consisted mostly of early hybrids like Northern Lights and Haze, but White Widow has since joined the ranks of these legendary strains, winning an early High Times Cannabis Cup in 1995 and several awards since. Bred specifically for a high trichome count, White Widow is especially valued in the production of hash. This strain has an average THC composition of 20%, with some phenotypes exceeding that amount.
Buds of White Widow are chunky and somewhat conical and tapered. The bud structure of the flowers are more sativa than indica, with a loose and fluffy texture that can be broken up somewhat easily despite its stickiness. The leaves are spring green with few visible pistils.
When grown successfully, buds are entirely covered in long-stalked trichomes, lending the whitish-gray appearance that gives the strain its memorable name. White Widow strain is known for having a stinging, ammonia-like scent with some hints of earthy pine. Breaking buds open gives off a more hashy, incense-like odor. The smooth smoke tastes similarly earthy — cannabis consumers accustomed to fruity or tasty crossbreeds may be disappointed by White Widow’s relative lack of flavor. That said, White Widow is especially pungent when combusted, so smokers worried about discretion should plan accordingly.
White Widow can be grown from seed or from clone (achieved by planting clippings of mature and healthy plants). It is a mold-resistant strain, making outdoor cultivation an option -- although an almost Mediterranean climate with constant temperatures between 70 and 80℉ works best. Despite a mostly sativa high, White Widow strain look much more indica during the vegetative stage: plants are bushy and wide, and rarely exceed 6 feet in height. The plants flower within 9 weeks when grown indoors and are ready for harvest in early October when grown outdoors. Growers can expect about 37 to 55 grams (or about 1.3 to 2 ounces) per square foot of plant.
As if the Dutch reputation for quality cannabis breeding hadn’t already been established with highly successful strains like Big Bud, White Widow strain shows off the excellent results of studied and deliberate cultivation in the Netherlands. The super-sticky strain provides a cerebral high that, while sometimes daunting in large doses, mostly allows users to remain functional and aware of their surroundings. An excellent choice for chatty social use, this strain is an all-purpose perennial favorite. Its strong genetic foundation — it is crossed from Brazilian and South Asian landraces — has made White Widow strain a valuable plant for experimentation in crossbreeding; among others, it has yielded increasingly popular hybrids like White Russian and The White.
What this strain lacks in flavor profile, it makes up for in quick-acting cerebral effects. Users can become more acutely perceptive of their surroundings, tuned into sounds and patterns that may have gone unnoticed before. Enthusiasts also describe an almost immediate uplift in mood and an energy and focus that can applied to either mundane tasks like cleaning or more complex problem-solving processes. White Widow strain can also be creatively valuable, inducing a kind of rapid-fire thought association that can open up some previously unexplored territory.
Psychedelic effects like visual distortion and increased perception can amplify the impact of music or art, while a very mild body buzz mellows users out. Because of its deeply cerebral effects, this strain is typically more psychologically than physically helpful. It can aid those with attention deficit disorders in sustaining focus on a single topic. It can also boost energy in cases of fatigue or depression. Some users have even described White Widow strain as efficient in relieving migraines. Because of its potency, the introspective mind-race associated with White Widow strain can sometimes veer into paranoia, and smokers may want to plan dosage accordingly.
White Widow Strain: A Globally-Known Legend
At Royal Queen Seeds, our skilled breeders created our own version of this classic using White Widow marijuana S1 genetics. Our variety features a perfect genetic balance of 50% indica and 50% sativa. She sits right in the middle of the spectrum and offers the best of both worlds.
Although the exact origin of the strain is shrouded in mystery, we can guarantee the original White Widow marijuana is a Dutch classic, grown for the first time in the Netherlands.
The original White Widow marijuana was created when a sativa landrace from Brazil was pollinated by an indica hybrid from southern India. According to legend, WW was the result of years of selecting and breeding in the mountains of Kerala to produce resin-rich marijuana plants.
Since the original release back in the ‘90s, White Widow seeds have been dispersed around the globe, which has led to numerous variants on the original strain. Now, most reputable seedbanks will feature a version of WW, with RQS being no exception.
White Widow Marijuana Provides Good Yields And Manageable Growth
Our White Widow marijuana feminized grows to about 1m tall indoors, reaching up to 2m outside. It needs lots of light, but can be grown in colder climates such as France, the UK, and the Netherlands. Grown inside, it can yield 450–500g/m² under a 600W light. Outdoors, growers can harvest between 550–600g/plant. Although this cultivar will perform better in warm climates, it still provides excellent results in northern European climates.
White Widow marijuana finishes flowering after 8-10 weeks, requiring little maintenance. This is the perfect plant for first-time growers. Such characteristics also make this plant a great option for SOG and ScrOG operations.
She’ll produce a large central cola when left untrained. Although pretty and impressive, you’ll get better results with a bit of training. Top each plant during the early vegetative phase and use LST and defoliation to produce an abundance of bud sites and an open and aerated canopy.

These effects make White Widow weed an ideal smoke during busy days and creative projects. Her stimulating high sparks enough enthusiasm and motivation to keep you engaged in the creative process for much longer than usual.
Her dense buds produce high levels of the terpenes myrcene, pinene, and caryophyllene. These aromatic molecules converge to create a flavour profile defined by notes of spice, earthiness, and pepper. White Widow weed goes down particularly well in savoury edibles, where her pungency comes to the fore.
Green House has tested White Widow weed at 18.76% THC, 0.10% CBD, and 0.28% CBN. The seed bank has also developed autoflowering and high-CBD autoflowering versions of the strain by hybridizing White Widow weed with Ruderalis and high- CBD strains, respectively. Green House Seed Co. carries all three versions of White Widow strain in feminized seed form.
