Medi (or Medi Bud) is an uplifting hybrid strain of unknown genetic origins, but many attribute its upbeat, active effects to sativa parentage. Others claim Medibud is a 60/40 indica-dominant cross, so it’s possible that this strain expresses itself in various phenotypes. Typically, you can expect high-energy euphoria and heightened sensory awareness from Medibud, but its indica-leaning phenotypes may induce heavier, more relaxing effects.

Dense, dark-green and purple flowers and a healthy level of “bling” make it impossible to touch this medicinal strain without your fingers getting sticky.

Purple Urkle strain - Purple Urkle

Purple Urkle Strain also known as Purple Urkle history is as complex as its flavor palate. A California strain, the origins are believed to stem from a select phenotype of Mendocino Purps, while the essence is a blend of skunk, berry, and fresh grapes. Consumers report the effects to be deeply relaxing, sleep-inducing, and a great option for full-body pain relief. The short onset of effects makes it a perfect nighttime strain for those who suffer from insomnia.

Purple Urkle Strain Description

Not much is known about Purple Urkle strain origin story, except that it first appeared in the 1980s. Some online sources claim that the cultivar’s heritage can be traced back to Mendocino Purps, a well-known cannabis strain produced in Northern California’s Emerald Triangle. Others speculate that Purple Urkle strain could be a phenotype of either Mendocino Purps or Granddaddy Purple. Regardless of its origin, Purple Urkle strain resplendent purple coloring, due to a healthy amount of anthocyanins, undoubtedly contributed to its name. Lab tests indicate larger percentages of the terpene myrcene contribute to Purple Urkle strain earthy, musky aromas, while the presence of alpha-pinene counteracts the terpene’s more sedative effects. Users compliment Purple Urkle strain for its berry flavors and its impressive THC content, which clocks in between 17-22%, depending on grow conditions.

About Purple Urkle

Purple Urkle strain is perhaps one of the most famous Indica strains around yet its origins are still mostly a mystery. What we do know is that the strain has been around since the 1980's and was originally grown in the Emerald Triangle area of northern California (Humboldt County). It is regularly referred to as "Purple Urple" and occasionally "The Urkle".
While most veteran cannabis growers in the Emerald Triangle region are generally tight-lipped about their strain hybrids and genetics, most growers assume Purple Urkle was the offspring of either Mendocino Purps or Granddaddy Purple.
Its effects, taste and smell are fairly consistent with most purple strains of marijuana when grown properly. Purple Urkle strain has a sweet and skunky smell generally containing the aromas of tropical fruit, grapes, fruity pebbles, and skunk. As with many heavy Indica strains, it's effects can be quite lethargic and relaxing making it an excellent strain for insomnia and anxiety. It is also used regularly for pain management and as an appetite stimulant.
Due to its sedating effects, it is best left for late evening or nighttime use. It has also been known to be a 'two-hitter-quitter' strain - meaning two hits is generally enough to get the full effects. With THC percentages well into the 20's we would recommend lower doses to start, especially for novice users.
Purple Urkle strain is a very slow-growing strain, especially when growing outdoors. When growing outside it generally takes a full 5 months to flower while flowering time indoors can be as quick as 8 weeks. As with many Indica's the strain remains fairly short and stocky with yields slightly lower than average. Expect 1-2 ounces per plant on an indoor grow and roughly 1/2 pound per plant on an outdoor grow.

 Purple Urkle Marijuana Strain

The introduction of this medical marijuana strain can be dated back to the late 1980s. This is a Californian strain which is often classified as a classical strain. This is believed to be the phenotype of 'Granddaddy Purple'. However, this is most frequently referred to be the specific phenotype of 'Mendocino Purps'. This strain is identified by its purple nugs covered by longer orange hairs. Physically, purple urkle strain is typical of an Indica strain and is shorter, thicker and bushier. This is another clone-only strain dedicated to Californian dispensaries. This strain is found to be best grown indoors than outdoor. The aroma of this strain is skunky with minute hints of fruity aroma. With the THC and CBD of 18-21% and 0.36%, respectively, this strain tastes like grapes and sweet berries. The strong physical buzz given by this strain would alleviate the symptoms of muscle spasms, anxiety and nausea. The users of this strain reported that the indicia effects of this strain thoroughly relax and are sleep-inducing. Hence, this will be an ideal bedtime strain for those who are fighting insomnia.
Death Bubba, bred by Matteo Suleyman of Vancouver BC’s Sea to Sky, is a beautiful, purple-hued strain with trichromes and terpenes abound. Created by crossing Death Star and Bubba Kush, this pungent pairing reeks of grass and skunk while the smoke is sweet, earthy, and clean on the palate. Its semi-sedative effects lock the consumer to the couch, unknotting tension and soothing minor physical discomfort with ease. This stinky BC native has been serving cannabis enthusiasts since 2012 and was most recently smelled off Fraser St. the Vancouver metro area.Violator Kush is a pure indica from old school Dutch breeders Barney’s Farm. A cross of Malana and Hindu Kush genetics, is known for high THC and CBD levels so it provides good relief for pain and a nice couch lock feel. This indica has a musty, earthy smell and taste and provides a strong body buzz that will leave you stuck to your chair.

Romulan Strain

Romulan Strain is an indica marijuana strain made by crossing North American Indica with White Rhino. Named after the alien Star Trek race, this pine-scented strain is revered for its potent and therapeutic qualities. You can expect Romulan Strain to deliver intense, cerebral effects that eventually give way to sedation and relaxation. Medical marijuana patients choose this strain to help treat symptoms related to muscle spasms and nerve damage. Growers say Romulan Strain produces dense, frosty buds and is a popular choice among growers in the Pacific Northwest.

About Romulan Strain

Romulan Strain is a legendary Indica-dominant strain that got its name when people began joking that this strain could “dent your head” and create ridges like the warrior race from Star Trek that shares the strain’s name. Having been featured in Skunk, High Times, and Cannabis Culture, Romulan Strain is well known for its potent narcotic-like stone. Users often find themselves glued to one spot and may be overcome by a sleepy-laziness.
This strain also wraps the user in a euphoric blanket of bliss while also stimulating the appetite. Snacks should be kept close as the “munchies effect” of Romulan Strain is very strong even for experienced users. Everyone expects the cotton mouth and dry eyes but users might get caught off guard by the possible dizziness, paranoia, and headaches when consuming Romulan Strain in high doses or when baking it into edibles.
This Romulan strain is most often chosen by those dealing with insomnia and as such should not be used during the day.  Users seeking pain relief often find that Romulan Strain may relieve even some of the worst chronic aches and pains. Others choose it to alleviate the effects of stress and anxiety disorders, depression, and various stomach problems.
Romulan Strain exact origins and lineage are unknown, it was bought in 1996 by Federation Seeds as a completed strain. Federation Seeds was attempting to rescue the strain from dying out and received Romulan Strain as clones. This made her entirely female and Federation crossed the strain with the award-winning White Rhino Strain. After this, the breeders then back-crossed the strain many times until only three percent of the White Rhino Strain remained in the strain’s genetics. Romulan Strain flowers for about 55 to 60 days and branches multiple times with many budding sites. This makes the strain less than ideal for techniques like the Sea of Green.

 Romulan Marijuana Strain

Romulan Strain, naturally, gets its name from the hostile alien race in Star Trek. It's a fitting history, as outer space is the perfect backdrop for this indica strain out of British Columbia. Topping out at 20-24% THC, Romulan Strain is quite potent. It's almost pure Indica with a small amount of the Sativa-dominant White Rhino hybrid, but its full origins are a mystery. Romulan Strain has a sweet earthy smell and taste, with hints of pine and citrus. It produces a deeply relaxed body high with a dreamy, floating sensation. Like all indicas, Romulan Strain can be effective at treating anxiety, though it's best for pain. It's also used to treat depression and lack of appetite. Couch-lock is common when smoking Romulan Strain, so it's best saved for late nights or rainy days at home. This strain is popular in legal markets in the American West, but less so in other regions. Though not exactly a top-shelf strain, Romulan Strain rates well among users, and it's a favorite of many medical marijuana patients. It can be overpowering if used in high concentrations, with possible dizziness, paranoia, and headaches.
